At Yacht Gear Hire, we strive to provide exceptional service and reliable equipment for your yachting needs. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be issued for rental bookings made through yachtgearhire.pro (the "Site").

1. General Refund Principles for Rentals

All rental bookings are subject to the specific terms outlined in this Refund Policy and the individual Rental Agreement you accept at the time of booking.
Refunds, if applicable, will typically be processed back to the original method of payment within [e.g., 5-10 business days] after approval.

2. Rental Booking Cancellations by Customer

If you need to cancel a confirmed rental booking, the following conditions apply:


Cancellation [e.g., 7 days or more]
prior to the scheduled pickup/delivery date:
A full refund of the rental fees paid will be issued, minus any non-refundable deposit (if applicable) and a [e.g., 5-10%] administrative processing fee.


Cancellation between [e.g., 3 and 6 days] prior to the scheduled pickup/delivery date:

A [e.g., 50%] refund of the rental fees paid will be issued, minus any non-refundable deposit (if applicable).


Cancellation [e.g., less than 72 hours (3 days)] prior to the scheduled pickup/delivery date:

No refund will be issued. The full rental fee and any applicable deposits will be retained by Yacht Gear Hire.


No-Show:

If you fail to pick up the equipment or are not available for delivery at the scheduled time without prior notification, it will be considered a no-show, and no refund will be issued. The full rental fee will be retained.

3. Cancellations by Yacht Gear Hire

While rare, in the unlikely event that Yacht Gear Hire must cancel your confirmed booking due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., equipment malfunction, unavailability, extreme weather conditions making delivery/use unsafe), you will be offered:
A full refund of all rental fees and deposits paid, OR
An alternative piece of equipment of equal or greater value (subject to your approval and availability), OR
Reschedule your rental to a new date (subject to availability).
We will notify you as soon as possible in such circumstances.

4. Equipment Malfunction or Unsuitability


Reporting Period: If, upon receipt, the equipment is found to be faulty, damaged (beyond what was noted at pickup/delivery), or unsuitable for its intended purpose, you must notify Yacht Gear Hire immediately (within [e.g., 2 hours] of receipt) with photographic or video evidence.
Our Action: Upon verification of the issue, we will, at our discretion


Provide a replacement piece of equipment, OR
Offer a partial or full refund for the affected rental period, OR
Provide credit for a future rental.
Customer Misuse: No refunds will be issued for malfunctions or damage resulting from customer misuse, improper operation, unauthorized alterations, or failure to follow manufacturer's instructions or the Rental Agreement terms.

5. Early Returns

Early return of equipment will not result in a partial or full refund of the rental fees. The full agreed-upon rental period charges will apply.

6. Security Deposits

Security deposits are collected to cover potential damage, loss, theft, or excessive cleaning required for the rented equipment.
The security deposit will be fully refunded within [e.g., 5-10 business days] after the equipment has been returned and inspected by Yacht Gear Hire and found to be in the same condition as dispatched, allowing for reasonable wear and tear.
Any deductions from the security deposit will be communicated to you with an itemized breakdown. If damages exceed the security deposit, you agree to pay the additional costs.
